Far from being a rare treat to indulge in, massage therapy wakes up the whole nervous system and provides essential maintenance and recovery of all body tissues.
Functional manipulation of muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments can restore range of motion, reduce pain, rehabilitate injuries, enhance the mind-body connection and reduce stress & anxiety, helping to restore your optimal state.
Dry Needling is an optional extra in my toolkit. While not essential to your treatment, it’s a highly effective additional modality to further reduce muscular pain.
Using fine gauge acupuncture needles, from a ‘western’ perspective dry needling is like the most precise form of trigger point therapy - commonly eliciting a subtle twitch response which brings about greater tension release. On an ‘eastern’ level, it also encourages the body’s own natural healing mechanisms (which can become shut down under stress) by clearing blockages, increasing nutrient & oxygen delivery, and shifting toxin build up in unhappy tissues.
Pregnancy Massage is also available, with early and late term belly cushions, allowing for comfortable prone positioning.
